This extensive park southwest of the centre is one of Gothenburg’s favourite recreational spaces. Locals come here to walk, run, picnic and meet friends, and its large lawns and wooded paths make it easy to forget that you are still close to the city centre.
Nearby, Gothenburg Botanical Garden is another highlight for anyone interested in plants and gardens. Together, the park and botanical garden can easily fill half a day, especially during spring and summer.
